MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Review and influence customer specifications to assure compliance and/or noted exceptions for development of equipment and service quotations.
•Provide potential hardware and service package solutions to provide most cost effective, technically appropriate solution to the customer need.
•Make technical presentations to all levels of customer organization.
•Develop engineering and installation workscopes, schedules and cost estimates to facilitate total scope project offerings.
•Contribute to and leverage existing technical library of source materials related to industry applications, system configurations/hardware, design standards, etc. to provide timely technical information.
•Provide technical support to execution teams to ensure successful projects.
•Manage and negotiate commercial and contractual risk within the Inquiry to Order (ITO) process.
•Coordinate overall technical proposal with sales, manufacturing and management.
•Contribute positively to regional sales, orders, profitability, and ITO quality goals.

REQUIRED:
•Engineering degree, mechanical or electrical preferred.
•Extensive application/design knowledge of turbine, generator and compressor controls. Including operation and supporting subsystems in addition to experience with Balance of Plant control retrofit solutions.
•Technical expertise in controls, instrumentation and third party services.
•Application/design knowledge of generator excitation.
•Application knowledge of asset condition monitoring and protection.
•Field service experience of more than 5 years in utility/non-utility generation, Oil and Gas and manufacturing industries.
•Experience in developing and writing technical controls specifications and/or proposals.
•Fluent (read, write, speak) in English as a second language.
•10 to 20% domestic and international travel required for short customer meetings, surveys and opportunity development.
•Effective written, organization and oral communication skills
•Effective use of Personal Computer Technologies
